Glow Rhino builds tritium-powered EDC gear that marks your equipment in total darkness for over a decade without a battery, a charge, or a switch. The lineup runs tritium fobs, Spark and Ember glow fobs, and titanium and aluminum pry bars, all built around gas tritium vials that glow continuously through beta decay.
Tritium is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen sealed inside borosilicate glass vials lined with phosphorescent coating. Its low-energy beta particles excite the phosphor and produce constant radioluminescence with no UV charging and no power source, and the particles themselves cannot penetrate human skin. With a half-life of 12.32 years, a vial holds usable brightness well past the decade mark, keeps working through water exposure, and holds output from subzero cold to desert heat. Green tritium runs the brightest thanks to zinc sulfide phosphor efficiency, blue trades output for a softer glow that will not wreck night-adapted vision, and purple, yellow, and red round out the palette for color-coding gear by category.
The machined fobs cage a large tritium lamp in steel with black nitride coating or in titanium for lighter carry, with an integrated glass breaker tip for emergencies and a keyring attachment sized for standard split rings. The Spark and Ember glow fobs take the opposite approach: injection-molded polycarbonate housings that weigh next to nothing and pass light through 360 degrees, ideal as zipper pulls on packs, sleeping bags, and pouches. Either style makes a locator beacon out of anything you need to find at night, including the flashlights you reach for when you actually need throw.
The pry bars integrate XL tritium vials into keychain-sized frames that pry, drive flathead screws, open bottles, and score without adding pocket bulk. Titanium brings corrosion resistance and the best strength-to-weight ratio, while the aluminum series wears Type II anodizing in black and blue for a lighter, color-coded option. There is no blade on any of them, which makes the whole lineup a natural travel companion, and the mini pry bar shrinks the footprint further for minimalist carry.
