We strive to ship all orders placed by 2:00 Central time the same business day. Although this does not happen for every order currently in excess of 97% of our orders ship same day when ordered by 2:00pm. Orders with engraving typically ship within two business days order placement. We can also rush your order and ship with engraving as quick as the same day. Contact us for details. We ship orders Monday through Friday during our normal business hours. Accordingly, orders placed from Friday afternoon to Sunday night will ship on Monday’s business day. We are closed on Federal Holidays and do not ship orders on those days.
Standard Shipping in the US
In an effort to keep your costs as low as possible we now offer FREE standard shipping on all orders over $99 (international orders do not apply). If your order is $99 or less the shipping is just $5.99 for standard flat rate service - buy 1 item or 100 the cost is just $5.99 and free over $99. When you choose the flat rate or “free” shipping option we will choose the most cost effective method. You always have the option of upgrading to faster options such as priority, 2nd Day Air, and Overnight for an additional cost at checkout. Occasionally, we may have large, bulky items which have a “heavy/bulky” fee applied. These items will be clearly marked on the product page and at checkout so don’t worry about any hidden, unwanted surprises on costs.
Expedited Shipping in the US
We offer Priority Mail, Fed Ex 2nd Day Air and Fed Ex Overnight on most all domestic orders. These orders are given shipping priority and will ship same day when placed by 2:00 pm Central. It must be noted, that FedEx shipping is not available to PO Boxes. Any order that requires FedEx shipping will need to have a full street address for the shipping address. If you must have the order ship same day or if it is slightly after cutoff please contact us via phone to ensure same day shipment. Some items cannot be shipped express and are generally limited to very large oversized items and ORM-D items such as butane and fuels. We sell almost no bulky or ORM-D items so for almost all orders this is not a concern. If we cannot ship express you will be notified immediately. Shipping to APO and FPO Addresses
All APO and FPO shipping will be limited to USPS. Any other options chosen will be modified to this selection. We proudly support our troops and all APO FPO orders will qualify for standard $5.99 flat rate shipping and free shipping on orders over $99.
International Shipping Policy
We ship to the majority of Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada and numerous other developed nations. A full list is available at checkout. Rates for international shipping depend upon the shipping method chosen and can be reviewed at checkout prior to payment. We strive to process and ship your international order as fast as possible. We do not however control the package once it has shipped so please do not ask us to contact the shipping company to track your package. You may do so at www.FedEx.com or www.USPS.com. We HIGHLY recommend paying the extra cost and shipping Fed Ex. It is much faster and safer as well as clearing customs faster. You can also track it step-by-step. If you choose USPS you CANNOT track it step by step. Generally, USPS tracking will stop at Chicago or New York or similar terminal when the package leaves the US. We have NO WAY of tracking after this and cannot see anything other than what you can see by tracking online. We cannot file a claim until 45 days have passed with USPS. As such, any claims or request for refunds for lost packages will be denied immediately if 45 days have not passed. Further, it can take 4-6 weeks or longer with First Class Mail. It is a value priced option if you are not in a hurry but do not expect the order rapidly. If you want the order delivered fast and safe as stated choose our preferred international vendor Fed Ex International – you’ll be glad you did.
We will not falsify customs forms – please do not ask us to. It is against the law and we would not advise buying from a company who will falsify. We do not currently ship to Russia. We DO NOT pay your country’s import duties, brokerage, or customs fees. They are your responsibility no matter what. No matter how we ship it, how it is delivered or what you buy – you pay your country’s taxes, duties and all other fees. There are no exceptions to this policy whatsoever.
You as the buyer are 100% responsible to know if an item can be shipped to your country. We cannot stay abreast of the import restrictions for every country – it is your responsibility. We suggest that you either go online and review your country’s import restrictions or contact your country’s customs department. If an item we ship you is returned by your country’s customs department or postal service for any reason we will issue you a refund of the purchase price less the shipping fees. There are no exclusions to this policy.
Return Shipping Fees
DLT Trading does not pay return shipping fees for any reason other than if we sent you the wrong item. If you decide that the knife you purchased is not for you, the wrong color/size or if you feel there are quality issues such as: the blade is not centered, the grinds are off, the finish is not what I wanted you pay the cost to ship back to DLT Trading, not us.
Further, all warranty issues and claims will be handled between you the buyer and the manufacturer, not us. Any costs with shipping back to the manufacturer are 100% your cost and will not be borne by DLT Trading without exception. If you have a specific request (example is the blade centered, how does the handle look) contact us prior to ordering and we’ll be pleased to assist you.
Returns: Returns for a refund are accepted for 14 days from the date of your order. We feel this is more than adequate time for the knife to arrive and for you to inspect/review it and see that it is what you expected. If you are returning and item to us please make sure to call in at 877-622-2397 to be issued an RMA not more than 14 days from your order date. When you receive the RMA please ensure that we receive the item back within 10 days from the date of the RMA (21 days for international orders). Returns shipped back without an RMA or late will not be accepted and will be sent back to you at your cost. In order to return an items to us we ask you do the following:
- Return the item 100% unused, in new condition with all original boxes, packaging, paperwork, labels intact and not crumbled, crushed, written on or otherwise damaged.
- Incur all costs associated with shipping back to us. We do not pay return shipping and we suggest you ship back to us insured.
- Ship items back to us packaged as we sent them to you. If we sent the item in a box we require that it come back to us in a box to preserve the contents.
- Include a copy of the original receipt detailing the reason for the return.
- Do not put tape on boxes, write on them or damage them. If you do the product will be rendered unsalable and returned to you.
If you received your item in error we will pay shipping both ways and make it right with you. We will not ship express however.
Defective items will be sent back to us at your cost. We will ship a replacement item at our expense. (See terms and conditions for international returns.)
We have eliminated our 15% restocking fee and will now give you the option of an exchange, store credit or a refund. We will however deduct our actual cost of shipping/handling if the order was shipped to you at no cost to you. Further, customers that habitually return items (example more than 2 in 30 days or 4 in 90 days) will be assessed a 15% restocking fee.
For orders that are placed with Afterpay, there will be a 5% restock fee, so that we can recoup the cost of using the Afterpay service.
