The Deploy series represents Buck’s push-button knife lineup—side-opening designs manufactured in the USA with the same quality standards applied to their traditional folders.
The Deploy (838) runs a 3.25" blade with a push-button mechanism on the spine. Side-opening deployment fires reliably without excessive spring tension, allowing for smooth action. The Mini Deploy (839) scales down to a 2.5" blade while retaining identical mechanics. Both models use CPM-S35VN as the standard blade steel, with the Blackout variants upgrading to CPM-154 with black Cerakote coating.
Blade geometry options include a standard drop point and a Wharncliffe grind. The Wharncliffe configuration provides a straight cutting edge from heel to tip—useful for controlled slicing tasks where a curved belly would compromise precision. Handle colors span blue, orange, sniper grey, burnt bronze, and the premium blackout finish.
The Impact (898) extends the lineup with CPM-S35VN steel and aluminum handles, maintaining the same build quality as the Deploy series.
