The Leatherneck series pays tribute to the U.S. Marines—the nickname dates back to 1776, when Congress required Marines to wear thick leather collars to protect against sword blows and enforce proper military posture. Cold Steel built these fixed blades to the same standard that those original Leathernecks demanded: tough, reliable, and ready for whatever comes next.
The full-size Leathernecks run German D2 steel with non-reflective black coatings. The Leatherneck-SF (Semper-Fi) carries a 6.75" saber-ground clip point—a versatile utility profile that excels at everything from field dressing to general camp work. The Leatherneck Tanto features Cold Steel's signature American Tanto geometry, with a reinforced tip designed for puncture tasks that conventional blade shapes cannot handle. Both feature 5mm thick blades, substantial steel guards with forward-curved quillons, and deeply checkered Kray-Ex handles with an oval cross-section that locks into the palm. Machined steel butt caps double as emergency striking tools.
The Leatherneck Bowie scales up to serious blade territory with a 10.5" blade featuring a traditional blood groove. Same D2 steel construction, extended guard, and Kray-Ex grip as its smaller siblings—just substantially more knife.
The Mini Leatherneck series shrinks the platform to pocket-friendly dimensions. A 3.5" blade in 8Cr13MoV steel, stainless guard with broad quillons, and Kray-Ex handle deliver fixed blade reliability at EDC size. Available in tanto, clip point, and double-edge configurations.
All Leathernecks ship with Secure-Ex sheaths featuring ambidextrous belt loops.
