A single side switch runs four brightness levels plus SOS, beacon, and strobe, a switch-lock guard keeps it from firing in a pocket, and the beam reaches 327 meters when you need distance. The built-in Micro USB port charges the included battery, and it works in reverse: the B5M doubles as a power bank for a phone in the field.
