The Griffin MKIII bit driver in orange peel oil slick zirconium is the top-shelf build in the driver lineup. Zirconium is a step above titanium in both material cost and visual presence — it machines with a darker tone, takes finishes differently, and carries a weight and density that feels distinct in hand. The oil slick treatment adds an iridescent color shift across the orange peel texture that changes depending on the angle and lighting. This is not a production material you see often, and Griffin doesn't run zirconium builds frequently.

What the MKIII Bit Driver Was Built For

The MKIII was designed around knife maintenance first. The included Wiha Torx bits — T6, T7, T8, and T9 — cover pivot screws, clip screws, and body hardware on most production folders right out of the pouch. But the 1/4-inch hex bit compatibility means you can run whatever bit you need. Magnetic retention holds the bit secure during use, and the 608 ceramic bearing top cap spins freely for quick fastener work or idle fidgeting between tasks. The milled grip pattern gives real torque control without chewing up your hands. Measures 4.125 inches long at 0.75 inches in diameter, weighing 2.78 ounces.

Designed and Made in Canada

Every MKIII is machined from solid bar stock and finished in Canada. The screw-apart design gives access to internal bit storage for three additional 1/4-inch hex shank bits. Each driver ships with a branded pouch with Velcro patch, cleaning cloth, stickers, and a signed and dated certificate of authenticity.
