The Baton is Olight's core EDC flashlight platform — compact, rechargeable, and built around the principle that your daily-carry light should disappear in your pocket until you need it. The lineup spans nine models across three generations, scaling from sub-3-inch pocket lights to 21700-powered mid-size performers pushing 2,500 lumens. Every model runs magnetic charging, a TIR optic for smooth flood beams, and the same five-mode UI with moonlight through turbo plus strobe.
The S1R Baton II is where the modern Baton lineage starts. It runs 1,000 lumens from a 16340 cell in a body that measures 2.48 inches and weighs 1.76 ounces. Beam distance reaches 145 meters. The magnetic tail serves double duty — charging contact and hands-free mounting point. IPX8 waterproofing, a two-way pocket clip, and the standard Olight side-switch UI round out the package. This is a legacy model, and stock is limited.
The S2R Baton II is the 18650 counterpart to the S1R — same platform DNA in a larger body built for longer runtime. It pushes 1,150 lumens with a 135-meter beam distance, powered by a 3,200 mAh battery that delivers up to 60 days on moonlight. The body runs 3.94 inches at 3.47 ounces. Like the S1R, this is a legacy model that has been succeeded by the Baton 3 Pro but remains available while stock lasts.
The Baton 3 is the direct successor to the S1R Baton II. It bumps output to 1,200 lumens with a 166-meter beam distance while maintaining the same sub-2.5-inch form factor and 16340 power. The Premium Edition pairs the light with a 3,500 mAh wireless charging case that stores and charges the Baton 3 on the go — drop it in, close the lid, and the light charges automatically. The case also accepts the S1R Baton II.
The Baton 3 Pro is the 18650 workhorse of the series. It delivers 1,500 lumens with a 175-meter beam distance from a 3,200 mAh battery, running up to 120 days on moonlight. The body stretches to 3.99 inches at 3.63 ounces. Cool white and neutral white LED options are available depending on the SKU. A proximity sensor automatically steps down output when it detects a close obstacle — a safety feature that prevents accidental blinding at contact distance. Magnetic tail charging, a two-way clip, and IPX8 waterproofing are standard.
The Pro Max is the largest and most powerful model in the Baton family. It runs a 21700 cell at 5,000 mAh, pushing output to 2,500 lumens with a 145-meter beam distance and up to 60 days of moonlight runtime. The trade-off for that output ceiling is a wider, heavier body — but it still pockets comfortably for a 21700 light. The proximity sensor carries over from the Baton 3 Pro with the added ability to disable it permanently if preferred. Cool white and neutral white options are available.
The Baton 4 is the current-generation compact — the latest evolution of the S1R/Baton 3 platform. It pushes 1,300 lumens from a 650 mAh 16340 cell with a 170-meter beam distance, all in a 2.48-inch body weighing 1.85 ounces. New laser-microperforated indicators on the body display both brightness level and battery status without dedicated indicator LEDs. The metal switch is an upgrade from previous generations for durability and tactile response.
The Baton 4 Kit (Premium Edition) pairs the Baton 4 with a 5,000 mAh charging case that fully charges the light five times, extending total runtime to 190 days. The case charges via USB-C and includes a digital display button showing remaining power. Press the button on the case to activate the light directly from inside. The case is cross-compatible with the Baton 3, S1R Baton II, Perun Mini, and Perun 2 Mini. The Titanium Premium edition runs the same internals in a titanium body.
The Baton Turbo is the outlier in the series — a pocket thrower rather than a flood light. It runs 1,000 lumens through a focused reflector optic that pushes beam distance to 510 meters with 65,025 candela. That is over three times the throw of the Baton 4 in a body that measures 3.22 inches and weighs 3.21 ounces. The 18350 cell delivers 1,100 mAh with an option to swap in CR123A batteries for field use. If your use case demands reach over flood — spotting, property checks, trail scanning — the Baton Turbo fills a role no other model in the series covers.

All models feature five brightness modes (moonlight through turbo) plus strobe, a magnetic tail for charging and hands-free mounting, a two-way pocket clip, and aluminum alloy construction. Max runtime listed reflects moonlight mode (0.5–1 lumen). Turbo step-down occurs within 1.5–2.5 minutes across all models. The Baton Turbo is the only model using a reflector optic — all others run TIR flood lenses. CW = cool white, NW = neutral white.
