SOG Assisted Technology (SAT) is the spring-assisted platform behind the brand’s AT-series folders. SOG designed the system around a piston lock rather than a traditional liner or frame lock, and it incorporates dual safeties: a visual indicator switch on the handle spine and the piston lock itself, which secures the blade in both the open and closed positions.
AT Series — Aegis, Trident & Flash
The Aegis AT, Trident AT, and Flash AT make up the core assisted lineup. All three run GRN handles with Cryo D2 blades and the SAT piston lock system. The Aegis AT is the most compact, available in both drop-point and tanto blade profiles. The Trident AT steps up to a 3.75" blade with aggressive handle texture for gloved use. The Flash AT splits the difference with a 3.45" blade in a slimmer carry profile.
SOG-TAC CA & Twitch Assisted Folders
The SOG-TAC CA is a USA-made assisted folder running Cryo D2 on an aluminum handle. The CA designation indicates a non-locking assisted design. The Twitch III runs 154CM steel in a compact 2.65" blade format. The Twitch XL is a USA-made assisted folder with a longer 3.25" blade, available in wood handle configurations with plain or partially serrated edges.
Aegis AT Tanto & Drop Point Configurations
SOG offers the Aegis AT in a dedicated tanto configuration with a reinforced tip geometry suited for puncture tasks and harder materials. Same SAT piston lock, same dual-safety system, same GRN handle construction—different blade profile for different end-use requirements.
