SOG built its reputation on fixed blades. Spencer Frazer’s 1986 reproduction of the MACV-SOG combat knife established the brand, and the SEAL 2000 developed for Navy SEAL knife trials in 1992 cemented SOG’s position in the tactical fixed blade market. The current catalog carries that lineage across several distinct platforms.
Bowie Heritage — Tech Bowie & Super Bowie
The Tech Bowie and Super Bowie descend directly from the original SOG Bowie design. The Tech Bowie runs AUS-8 steel on a Kraton handle with the clip-point Bowie profile that defined the brand. The Super Bowie extends the platform with a larger blade and full-tang construction. Both carry the classic SOG Bowie silhouette.
Recondo FX Tactical Fixed Blade
The Recondo FX is SOG’s modern tactical fixed blade—a 4.6" Cryo 440C blade with full-tang construction and an overmolded GRN handle. Available in black and flat dark earth with plain or partially serrated edges. The Recondo FX ships with a universal mounting system that accommodates MOLLE, belt, and boot carry.
SEAL Pup Elite & Provider FX
The Seal Pup Elite is a scaled-down evolution of the SEAL 2000, running AUS-8 with a TiNi coating and GRN handle in plain and partially serrated configurations. The Provider FX is a camp and field fixed blade with a 4.75" Cryo 440C blade designed for food prep, batoning, and general utility on a Micarta handle.
Entry-Level Fixed Blades — Tellus ATK & Instinct
The Tellus ATK runs 1420 steel in a compact format with a GRN handle and hard sheath—an entry-level camp blade. The Instinct uses a neck-knife form factor on G-10, designed for low-profile fixed blade carry where a folder isn’t practical.
