Tactile Turn's Switch Pen is the brand's take on the toggle-style deployment, built around an all-metal action that operates like a light switch with a satisfying click. Designed by Will Hodges and machined in the USA, the Switch sits alongside the Bolt Action and Side Click in the lineup as one of the most fidget-friendly mechanisms Tactile Turn produces.
The Switch Pen action is licensed from the original ClickShift V1 design. Tactile Turn rebuilt the mechanism from the ground up to simplify production, tighten the action, and improve the overall feel. The result keeps the toggle character of the original while bringing it to scale with Tactile Turn's machining tolerances and lifetime warranty standard.
The action is a three-piece mechanism machined from grade 5 titanium with a C63000 bronze actuator switch. Pressing the toggle advances or retracts the refill in one decisive motion, and the bronze actuator provides smooth contact against the titanium body without the wear that softer metals would show over time. Grade 5 titanium gives the body its strength-to-weight ratio, and the bronze switch adds visual contrast against the textured grip.
The Switch Pen is offered in two diameters and two lengths. The Standard diameter ships with a bent stainless steel deep-carry pocket clip, while the Slim diameter retains the milled titanium clip used across the Slim Bolt Action and Slim Side Click families. Standard length pens take a Pilot G2 refill; Short length pens run the Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium. Both configurations carry Tactile Turn's signature grooved texture.
The Switch Pen comes in two titanium finishes. The Machined finish keeps the bare titanium tone and pairs with a stainless steel actuator. The Stonewashed finish softens the surface to a matte gray and uses the C63000 bronze actuator for added contrast against the body. Both finishes carry the same mechanism, refill compatibility, and pocket clip system, leaving the choice to color and surface preference.
