ZT 0350
The Zero Tolerance 0350 is Ken Onion's workhorse assisted flipper and the most recognized model in the ZT catalog. Onion designed the platform as a smaller, more carry-friendly evolution of the 0300, preserving the robust construction and signature recurve blade profile while swapping the titanium frame lock for steel liners and textured G-10 scales. The result was a tough, reliable EDC folder that lived below the premium tier but still delivered the build quality the ZT badge demands.
Recurve Blade and SpeedSafe Action
The 0350 runs a 3.25-inch drop point recurve ground from CPM S30V on the standard and Tigerstripe models, stepping up to CPM MagnaCut on the OLTS OD Green variant. The recurve belly is what separates the 0350 from the rest of the ZT lineup. It bites into rope, cardboard, and fibrous material harder than a straight edge and pulls through draw cuts with aggressive efficiency, which is why the platform became a favorite with contractors, utility workers, and anyone who cuts for a living. SpeedSafe assisted opening fires the blade into lockup through a flipper tab or ambidextrous thumb studs. The torsion bar keeps the blade securely closed under light pressure and then drives it open decisively once the detent breaks.
Construction and Finishes
Handle construction uses thick steel liners with textured black G-10 scales on the 0350 and 0350TS, and OD green G-10 on the 0350OLTS. The liners add weight and rigidity, pushing the 0350 to 6.2 ounces, but they also make the knife feel planted in the hand under hard use. A stainless steel liner lock handles lockup, and a quad-mount pocket clip gives the carrier four positions: tip-up, tip-down, left side, right side. Blade finishes range from non-reflective black Tungsten DLC on the standard 0350 to the distinctive Tiger Stripe DLC pattern on the 0350TS and the Tiger Stripe Cerakote on the MagnaCut OLTS.
