Blade

The 2.5" utility blade is made from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of maintenance. The utility grind keeps the edge simple and effective for cutting cordage, opening packages, and other routine tasks.

Handle

The handle is built with black linen Micarta over brass liners. Micarta is a composite made from linen fabric layers set in resin, giving it a durable, grippy texture that holds up well over time. Brass liners add a bit of heft and structure to the small handle. Overall weight is just 1.55oz, keeping the knife nearly unnoticeable when carried.

Carry

The MEK ships with a leather sheath sized for neck carry or pocket carry. As a fixed blade, there is no lock to engage - the sheath itself retains the blade securely until drawn.
