The Bark River Aurora was specifically designed and built by legendary knife maker, Mike Stewart, as his choice for an all around, field use bushcraft knife. The Bark River Aurora has a contoured grip assuring a positive purchase on the handle no matter how you hold it. In testing and field use for over a year, the Bark River Aurora remains one of BRKT's best sellers of all time. The Aurora has a 4.5" convex ground, drop point style blade (.170" thick) made of A2 tool steel (58-59 rc), a full tang, and measures 9.5" overall with a weight of approximately 6 ounces. Bark River Knives Aurora come in a variety of custom handle patterns and exotic woods and include a deluxe leather bushcraft style Sharpshooter sheath covered by Bark River lifetime warranty.
The Bark River Aurora is an impressive knife. This is my second BRKT so I was already familiar with the fit, finish and overall build quality from Bark River. The knife is impeccable, it is without a doubt better than many of my customs. The Aurora ergonomics lend itself to bushcraft tasks, however I intend to use it on a hunting trip later this year as the blade dimensions will compliment field dressing mid to larger game. The real standout here is DLT Trading, who promptly answers questions, expedites shipping and has an incredible selection. The selection was so wide I was able to get the model I w as looking for with the specific handle material and pin combination without having to wait for a production run. In most cases the prices were lower than eBay and far lower than their nearest competitor. I highly recommend checking them out.
