I've been narrowing down my perfect blade for several years now, went from an Aurora in 3c with coco bolo scales to an Aurora lt in elmax with micarta and finally this Aurora LT in 3V with hollow pins. Perfection!!!!! At last, great company to work with too!

I purchased my Aurora LT in 3V after having used my Aurora in A2 on many, many hunting and camping trips. I ordered an LT because I couldn't get the regular width in 3V (everyone was sold out). Mine has black canvas scales, and the grip is super comfortable. I wear large size gloves and I have plenty of traction for all manner of grips, even wearing gloves. The knife has a neutral balance and is nimble in the hand. The tip is strong and excels in drilling - it's also tough; I was fearful of breakage but it hasn't happened yet. The 3V is stingy with an edge and is easy to touch up with a strop. My opinion is that the Aurora is the perfect bushcraft knive. The convex grind/edge makes pretty and useful feather sticks, it batons through wood with ease, and will even work for gutting and skinning (although I carry a knife with more belly for that purpose). The only things that approach a disappointment would be that 1) the spine could be sharper for striking a ferro rod, and 2) it was not sharp on arrival. Both of these were easily remedied.

I fell in love first time I saw Aurora, three years ago...As many others say, the handle and the blade are almost perfect. I believe CPM 3V is also top-notch, but for now the knife is going to be part of my collection, no tests. Thank you, Bark River, Thank you DLT Trading for the excellent service!
