The Bark River Broadside is a custom fixed blade built for collectors and users who want a hard-working knife with striking natural materials. This build pairs a race stripe of rosewood and bog oak with toxic and natural canvas Micarta liners, finished off with mosaic pins for a distinctive look at the handle.
Blade
The 4.375" blade is made from CPM-154, a premium stainless steel known for holding a fine edge while resisting corrosion better than most carbon steels. Bark River finishes the blade at .185" thick with a flat grind and satin finish, giving it a clean, versatile edge geometry suited to slicing, food prep, and general bushcraft tasks.
Handle
The handle scales combine rosewood and bog oak in a race stripe layout, separated by toxic and natural canvas Micarta liners. Micarta is a resin-impregnated canvas laminate that adds durability and grip stability beneath the natural wood. Mosaic pins run through the construction, adding a decorative detail to the fastening hardware. At 6.63oz, the knife carries a comfortable, balanced weight in hand.
Carry
The Broadside ships with a leather sheath, offering a traditional belt carry option that protects the edge and complements the natural handle materials. As a fixed blade, there is no lock to manage - the tang and blade are one solid piece, ready for hard use straight out of the sheath.
