Most Battle Horse Knives are named after horses or home ground; the Feather Stick is named after a test. It is the brand's wood specialist: 3.875 inches of scandi ground O1 on 0.125 inch stock, full tang, with a 4.875 inch contoured maple or micarta handle that is deliberately longer than the blade, because in carving work control comes from the hand end.

Owners on the bushcraft forums describe the Feather Stick as the full tang knife Mora never built: the same friendly scandi edge and light stock that made the Swedish knives everyone's first recommendation, backed by one continuous piece of O1 from tip to pommel. In practice that means it feathers, notches, and carves at the top of the class its name claims, and it takes batoning that would give a stick tang pause. Five of the eight knives in the current run wear individually numbered stabilized maple, no two alike, alongside matte micarta in natural, green, and black.
