O1 Fixed Blade with Maple Handles

The Frontier First is a compact fixed blade designed for everyday carry. Its flat ground blade and maple handles make it a versatile tool for tasks like opening packages, cutting cordage, or preparing food in the field. The included leather sheath provides secure carry and protection for the blade.

Blade

The 2.375" flat ground blade uses O1 high-carbon steel at 0.125" thick. O1 is a tough, wear-resistant steel that holds an edge well and is easy to sharpen. It is excellent for batoning and prying tasks, though it will patina and rust without maintenance. The flat grind provides a good balance between slicing ability and strength.

Handle

The maple handles are comfortable and provide a secure grip. Maple is a traditional handle material that is durable and resistant to moisture. At 2.5oz, the Frontier First is lightweight enough for daily carry but still substantial enough for hard use.

Carry

The leather sheath is designed for belt carry and includes a snap closure for security. No lock mechanism - this is a fixed blade with a full tang, so the blade and handle are one continuous piece of steel. The sheath holds the knife securely with positive snap retention.
