The Benchmade Bushcrafter series delivers purpose-built fixed blades designed by renowned knifemaker Shane Sibert for serious wilderness work. Whether you're feather sticking, batoning through hardwood, building shelter, or preparing camp meals, these full-tang knives provide the backbone for traditional bushcraft skills backed by modern materials and manufacturing precision.
The original Bushcrafter design features a 4.38" drop-point blade with geometry optimized for the varied cutting tasks wilderness survival demands. The 163-1 pairs S30V stainless steel with OD Green G10 handle scales over a red G10 base layer, delivering corrosion resistance and all-weather grip. For weight-conscious users, the 163BK upgrades to CPM-CruWear tool steel and carbon fiber scales, maximizing toughness and edge retention while minimizing pack weight. Both full-size models include a leather sheath with ferro rod attachment for fire-starting capability.
The Mini Bushcrafter brings Sibert's proven design into a 3.38" blade format without sacrificing capability. The 165-1 offers the same S30V and G10 combination in a more packable size, while the 165BK pushes performance further with CPM-CruWear steel (63-65 HRC), carbon fiber handles, and black Cerakote coating. The sharpened choil on the 165BK throws sparks from ferro rods and enables precise feather sticking for fire preparation.
Every Bushcrafter features full-tang construction capable of handling batoning duties and heavy camp tasks. The drop-point blade geometry excels at both fine work and aggressive cutting. Benchmade builds each knife in Oregon City, USA and backs them with a lifetime warranty and LifeSharp service to keep your edge field-ready for years of backcountry use.
