Benchmade Necron
The Benchmade 99 Necron is a balisong built for people who flip. It takes Benchmade back to its roots, since the company started out as Bali-Song, and it revisits that classic form with a latchless G10 handle, a 4.59 inch CPM S30V scimitar blade on .124 inch stock, and user adjustable balance. Open, it runs 9.68 inches and closes to 5.08, at 4.21 ounces, and it ships with a nylon sheath. Every Necron is made in Oregon City, Oregon, as part of Benchmade's Blue Class.
What Makes the Necron a Flipper's Balisong?
Tuning. Removable tungsten weights, interchangeable backspacers, and handle extensions let you set the swing weight and length, heavier and momentum driven or light and fast. The latchless build means nothing snags mid-combo, and tuned pivots and washers keep the action smooth. A hollow diamond texture on the safe handle tells your fingers which side to grab without looking, so you stay away from the bite handle, the side that closes onto the edge.
Benchmade Necron Models
The 99 wears semi-transparent Jade G10, which lets you see the internals, with gold TiCN pivot hardware and a stonewashed blade. The 99BK-1 pairs Ruby Red G10 with a black DLC coated blade. Both are live S30V scimitars built for experienced hands.

New to flipping, or learning a new combo? Start with the 99T. It mirrors the live Necron's feel with the same latchless blue G10 handles, tungsten weights, and extensions, but carries a skeletonized, unsharpened 440C training blade. You can drill tricks without the cuts that come with learning, then move to a live blade already dialed in.
