The Boker Trapper is opened in the classic way using the nail nick, while the slip-joint mechanism with a 90-degree stop holds each blade open with mere spring force, which only needs to be overcome with a gentle pressure impulse to close the knife. The handle is both aesthetically pleasing and characteristic, with an extra-long bolster made of polished nickel silver and brown bone scales with a rasp-like texture for a non-slip grip.
