Olive Knives is built around one idea its founders call Carry One: a single knife good enough to do it all and tough enough to last a lifetime. Founded by designer Andre Buys with co-founder Tim, Olive takes its name from the Latin oliva, after the olive tree that keeps producing for centuries, and every knife is designed and assembled in the USA around the brand's promise to outplay, outlast, and outlive.
The Olive Arbor is the full size outdoor blade, a 4.54 inch stonewashed Elmax drop point at nearly a fifth of an inch thick, with G-10 scales and a Kydex sheath, in forest green and high visibility orange as well as black. The Olive Venari shrinks the same formula into a 3.3 ounce everyday fixed blade with a 2.89 inch drop point and a handed Kydex sheath. Both run Elmax, a powder steel that balances edge retention with real corrosion resistance. Explore more fixed blade knives.
The Olive Lenta is the brand's folder, a 3.1 inch drop point on a compression spring bar lock with G-10 handles. It comes in stonewashed Elmax, or with a toughened tungsten carbide blade that Olive rates at 71 HRC, far harder than conventional knife steel, for extreme edge life and resistance to corrosion. Carbide that hard needs diamond abrasives, so pair it with the right sharpening supplies.
Pick the Arbor for camp and field work, the Venari for a fixed blade you actually carry daily, and the Lenta when a folding knife fits your pocket better. Every model comes in matte black, a green, and high visibility orange that is easy to find when it hits the leaves, and Olive backs its knives with a limited lifetime warranty.
