The Case Barehead Trapper Wharncliffe in Natural Canvas Micarta is a DLT Trading exclusive. The "barehead" designation refers to the pattern's lack of a rear bolster—a slimmer, lighter take on the traditional trapper frame that's been in Case's lineup since before 1940.

This version runs a single 3.25" Wharncliffe blade in Case carbon steel. The Wharncliffe's straight edge and fine point give you controlled, precise cuts—useful for detail work, box opening, and general utility tasks where a curved belly gets in the way. Case carbon steel (marked "CS" on the tang) is functionally similar to their Chrome Vanadium: a high-carbon, low-alloy steel that sharpens easily and holds a working edge well.

It will develop a patina and requires occasional oiling to prevent rust.

Natural canvas micarta handles provide a neutral, workwear aesthetic and grippy texture that improves with use. Satin-finished bolster and the traditional Case XX shield round out the build.

At 2.32 oz and 4.125" closed, this carries like a slipjoint should—light, slim, and unobtrusive. Made in USA.
