The Crossroads XR Texas Trapper reimagines a classic Case trapper pattern with design input from Texas knifemaker Bill Ruple. It is built for everyday carry users who want a traditional slipjoint with upgraded materials and a modern thumb hole for one-hand opening.
Blade
The 3.2" clip point blade is flat taper-ground from S35VN steel. S35VN is a premium powdered steel that holds a sharp edge, resists corrosion, and sharpens more easily than many other high-end steels thanks to its vanadium carbide structure. A thumb hole cutout lets you deploy the blade without digging for a nail nick.
Handle
The 4.5" handle combines Luna Richlite with black G-10 bolsters and a contrasting shield. Richlite is a resin-infused paper composite that's dense, stable, and resistant to moisture, while G-10 is a fiberglass laminate known for durability. An integrated one-piece bolster and liner construction keeps the knife light at just 2.1oz without sacrificing structure, and premium star screws hold everything together securely.
Carry
This is a slipjoint, so there's no locking mechanism - the blade stays open through spring tension, in keeping with traditional knife design. A lanyard hole adds a carry option beyond the pocket, letting you attach it to a lanyard or keychain if preferred.
