on Orders Over $99The Case Sod Buster Jr (245) is a scaled-down version of Case's classic working pattern—a design rooted in German folding butcher knives from the late 1800s. Case introduced the Sod Buster to their lineup in 1967, and it's remained a staple ever since.
The pattern is a "shadow" design, meaning no bolsters. Just handle scales mounted directly to the liners, keeping weight minimal and the profile slim. The curved handle fills the palm naturally and provides a secure grip for extended cutting tasks. The 2 3/4" skinner blade has an aggressive belly that excels at slicing work, gardening, breaking down boxes, or any utility task where a curved edge outperforms a straight one. Tru-Sharp stainless steel handles daily use without the maintenance demands of carbon steel.
Peach seed jigged amber bone handles give this version a traditional look—the golden-amber hue and deep jigging pattern show off the natural material. Inlay shield and nickel silver pins complete the classic Case aesthetic.
At 3 5/8" closed and 2.1 oz, the Sod Buster Jr disappears in a front pocket. Made in Bradford, PA.
