The Ryson-E is a Civivi EDC folder designed by Sam Tran, combining a pattern-welded Damascus blade with a textured Micarta handle for collectors and daily carry users who want standout materials in a practical package.

Blade

The 3.32" harpoon-style blade is hollow ground from Damascus steel with a core hardness of 58-60 HRC. Damascus is formed by folding and forge-welding multiple layers of steel together, producing a distinct wavy pattern on the blade face while delivering solid edge retention and a durable cutting edge. The harpoon tip adds strength for piercing while retaining a smooth belly for everyday slicing tasks.

Handle

Black canvas Micarta scales cover the handle and back spacer. Micarta is made by compressing layers of canvas fabric with resin under heat and pressure, resulting in a lightweight, durable material with a slightly textured grip that holds up well over time. Stainless steel liners add structural rigidity, and the whole knife weighs just 3.08oz.

Carry

The Ryson-E runs on a liner lock, where a spring-loaded steel liner shifts behind the blade tang to hold it open during use, and is disengaged by pushing the liner aside with your thumb. The stainless steel pocket clip is reversible for tip-up carry on either the right or left side, making it easy to configure for your preferred carry style.
