Nitro-V Top Crossbar Lock with Micarta Handles

The Civivi Zygon brings a compact, geometric profile to everyday carry, built for users who want a modern-looking folder with a secure, ambidextrous locking system. Its near-rectangular handle and rounded belly give it a clean, tool-inspired look that stands apart from typical EDC shapes.

Blade

The 3.24" drop point blade is made from Nitro-V steel with a black stonewashed finish, hardened to 58-60HRC. Nitro-V balances edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, resisting chipping while remaining easy to resharpen, which makes it well suited to both outdoor tasks and daily use. The flat grind adds to its slicing performance.

Handle

Handle scales are made from orange and black Micarta, a composite formed by resin-impregnated layers of linen or canvas. Micarta is valued for its durability and secure grip texture even when wet. A weight-reduced steel liner keeps the knife light at 3.18oz, aided by a lanyard pin for additional security during carry.

Carry

The Zygon uses Civivi's Top Crossbar Lock, an evolution of the crossbar lock that relocates the locking bar to the spine of the handle. This keeps the sides clean and unobstructed while still providing secure, easy one-hand blade lockup and release. The reversible deep-carry pocket clip is set up for tip-up carry on either the right or left side.
