Coeburn Tool takes its name from Coeburn, Virginia, a former railroad and coal town in the hills of Wise County along the Guest River. The brand was started to bring some work and recognition back to the area, and it shows in how the products are made: many of the paracord lanyards are hand woven with USA made cord by locals from neighboring St. Paul, one lanyard at a time.
The core of the line is a fishtail-knotted paracord knife lanyard about 5.5" long, finished with a loop on one end and a single patterned bead on the other. The Viking bead versions come in black, red, tan, and OD green, while the Spartan lanyard pairs OD green cord with a brass Spartan helmet bead. Because each one is woven by hand, no two knots land exactly alike, which is half the appeal.
For building your own drop, Coeburn's bead selection runs from a copper-finished Spartan helmet and a Route 66 flag skull to a three-piece cross bead set and anodized titanium beads in silver, blue, and rainbow, all sized to fit 550 cord and smaller. A gray aluminum tactical pen rounds out the lineup. If machined titanium is more your speed, the beads pair naturally with the higher-end work from Combat Beads.
