Ryan Forbes founded Copper Shed Metal Works in 2015 in Brookfield, Ohio, building a family-operated machine shop that produces handcrafted EDC gear. The operation combines CNC machining with hand finishing across titanium, brass, copper, aluminum, and mild steel components. Products include pry tools, bottle openers, lanyard beads, fidget items, and limited runs of fixed blade knives. Forbes maintains hands-on involvement in each piece, personally finishing approximately half of the designs entirely by hand while using three CNC machines for production efficiency.
The Juggernaut pry bar represents the brand's approach to functional EDC tools, offering modular construction with interchangeable components including bottle opener notches, pry edges, and optional attachments. Copper Shed sources materials domestically and releases new products through weekly Sunday sales. The shop also provides custom machining services for small-batch runs, prototyping, and overflow work for companies requiring titanium or brass components in quantities too small for larger manufacturers.
