Ryan Forbes founded Copper Shed Metal Works in 2015 in Brookfield, Ohio, building a family-operated machine shop that produces handcrafted EDC gear. The operation combines CNC machining with hand finishing across titanium, brass, copper, aluminum, and mild steel, and Forbes stays hands-on with every piece, personally finishing roughly half the designs entirely by hand while three CNC machines carry the production load. Materials are sourced domestically, and everything wears the warm, patina-friendly finishes that make copper and brass gear age into something personal.
