Divo Knives started when YouTube reviewer Kevin Johnson of LeftyEDC, after handling thousands of folders on camera, partnered with designer Colin Maisonpierre of CM Knife Designs to build the knife he could never quite find. Their 2022 debut, the Stout, proved the formula: Johnson's real-world carry testing filtered through Maisonpierre's design work, which includes the Bestech Tonic, with no committee in between.
The Smallboy carries that philosophy into a compact folding knife running an S90V blade in acid wash over blue denim Micarta or full DLC over milled titanium, premium steel in a package sized for the front pocket. The Saloon takes the dressed-up route with a beadblasted titanium frame, flow camo carbon fiber inlay, and enough personality to earn its Purple Nurple name. Runs are small, configurations rotate, and the boutique scale is the point: these are knives built the way two enthusiasts want them built, not the way a spreadsheet says they should be.
