Double X Knives is the one-man shop of Neal Green, a retired Army veteran who builds small fixed blade EDC knives meant to ride in a front pocket rather than on a belt. Green works in the city-knife tradition, with compact blades in the two to three-and-a-half-inch range that disappear into daily carry without sacrificing real cutting geometry.
Our current selection features the Straight Kwaiken, the Japanese-rooted pattern distilled to Green's pocket formula: a hand-rubbed satin CPM-154 blade over dyed and stabilized burl wood, each one figured differently and photographed as sold. The work reads as heirloom grade throughout the catalog, hand-rubbed flat grinds, modern steels like CPM MagnaCut and CPM-154, both covered in our knife steel guide, and handle scales running from textured G10 to burl. Every knife pairs with a custom pocket sheath cut for a clip, so the whole package carries clean and draws fast.
Fit and finish is the point here, not volume. Green builds in small batches and one-off runs, and his pieces tend to sell quickly through custom dealers and at shows like Blade, which makes in-stock examples in our custom shop a short-lived sight among fixed blades.
