S45VN Liner Lock with Carbon Fiber Handles

The M5 is a modern redesign of one of Allen Elishewitz’s iconic models from the early to mid-1990s. Like every Elishewitz custom, it is made entirely by Allen in his shop using manual machines—no CNC—with an emphasis on tight tolerances and premium materials. Blade

The 3.75" recurve tanto blade is made from S45VN steel at .160" thick, finished in a two-tone Black Snow and satin combination. S45VN is a premium powder metallurgy steel that balances edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making it well suited for a knife built to be both used and admired. The recurve tanto shape adds cutting efficiency along the belly while keeping a strong, reinforced tip.

Handle

CamoCarbon carbon fiber scales give the handle a layered, textured look while keeping overall weight low. A titanium bolster adds structural reinforcement and a refined custom touch, while a red G-10 spacer provides a contrasting accent along the spine. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate valued for its durability and stability. Total weight comes in at 4.48oz.

Carry

The M5 runs a liner lock, where a spring-tensioned liner locks behind the blade tang to hold it open during use. A right-hand, tip-up pocket clip keeps the knife secure and accessible in the pocket.
