The Elishewitz Custom Knives Tank Dirk Flipper is a handcrafted American-made folder that showcases Allen Elishewitz's design sensibility, built for collectors and users who want a custom knife they can also carry daily. Every Elishewitz custom is made by Allen himself in his shop using manual machines—no CNC. From machining and fitting to the smallest details, each knife is built with an emphasis on tight tolerances, premium materials, and true hands-on craftsmanship.

Blade

The 3.5" drop point blade is S45VN steel, finished with a distinctive Black Snow and satin combination at .160" thick. S45VN is a premium stainless steel that balances strong edge retention with good toughness and corrosion resistance, making it a reliable choice for a working custom blade. The drop point shape gives a strong tip and versatile belly for everyday cutting tasks.

Handle

Burl G-10 scales bring unique pattern and texture to the handle. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate prized for its durability and grip, and the burl finish gives each handle its own visual character. A Damascus spacer runs along the spine as an additional custom detail. The knife weighs 4.13 ounces, keeping it light for a full custom build.

Carry

Deployment is via flipper, giving fast, intuitive access to the blade with one hand. The liner lock secures the blade open by wedging a spring-loaded liner behind the tang, releasable with a push from the inside. A right-hand, tip-up pocket clip rounds out the carry setup.
