ESNYX Knives is the mark of Evan S. Nicolaides, the Sarasota, Florida slipjoint maker who won Best New Maker at Blade Show 2019 and Best Custom Slipjoint at Blade Show West 2022. The name is a compressed version of his own, sized to fit the tang stamp of a traditional pocket knife, and the Silver Line brings his custom patterns to production through Reate without losing the walk and talk his handmades are known for.
The Beer Buster Jr reworks the classic sodbuster pattern with one genuinely clever addition: a bottle opener machined into the backspring, so the knife pops caps closed and the titanium bottle-shaped shield tells you why. The 2.625" M390 blade wears a hand-rubbed satin finish over a single backspring with a proper half stop and a firm, snappy pull, with handles here in green canvas Micarta with red liners, black canvas Micarta, or full titanium. It's a working slipjoint with custom-level fit at production money, and small runs mean configurations don't sit long.
