52100 Fixed Blade with Bocote Handle
A custom skinner knife from Fire Beard Forge, designed for hunters and outdoorsmen who need a specialized tool for skinning and caping game. The skinner blade profile and premium materials make this a high-performance choice for field dressing.
Blade
The 4" skinner blade uses 52100 bearing steel at 0.144" thick. 52100 is a high-carbon steel known for its ability to take a very sharp edge and hold it well. The stonewash finish helps disguise wear and adds some corrosion resistance. This steel will patina and rust without proper maintenance.
Handle
The handle is made from Bocote wood, a dense and durable material with striking figure and grain patterns. Bocote is a hardwood that provides excellent grip and is resistant to moisture. The handle measures 5.25" long and 0.840" thick, with a total knife weight of 6.17oz.
Carry
The knife comes with a Wickett & Craig leather sheath. This is a fixed blade with no lock mechanism - the blade and handle are one continuous piece of steel. The leather sheath provides secure carry with a belt loop attachment.
