FOBOS Knives produces American-made tactical fixed blade knives designed by founder Erik Hansen, a former Special Forces medic who served 29 years including extensive post-9/11 deployments as an 18D operator. This veteran-owned, service-disabled small business operates under the principle "For Operators By Operators," engineering hard-use knives with full-tang construction, convex grinds, and precisely calculated balance points derived from special operations experience. The Alaris series features 4.92" drop point blades in CPM-3V carbon tool steel with HRC ratings of 58-63, while the Cacula line utilizes 4.31" blades in CPM-S35VN stainless steel for corrosion resistance. The larger Tier 1-C model extends to 6.45" with CPM-3V steel, dual finger choils for choke-up control, spine jimping, fire steel striker notches, and extended tang glass breakers for emergency vehicle extraction. The compact Tier 1 Mini reduces blade length to 4" using CPM-154 stainless steel hardened to 61-62 HRC with convex edge geometry optimized for edge retention and cutting efficiency. Handle materials span canvas micarta, camo micarta, natural micarta, OD green micarta, black G10, and carbon fiber with contrasting liners in red, orange, green, and black for tactical identification. Each knife includes strategically positioned jimping on finger grooves and spine sections, ergonomic handle shaping based on field operator feedback, primary and secondary bevel grinds, and Kydex or leather sheaths for field carry. FOBOS backs every knife with a limited lifetime warranty requiring only the handle return for replacement, emphasizing durability standards developed through Hansen's background working with tactical gear manufacturers including London Bridge Trading, First Spear, Velocity Systems, and MatBock during his military career.
