on Orders Over $99The Freeman Model 451 is a full-tang fixed blade designed for bushcraft, survival, and outdoor tasks. Its 5" blade and 3/16" thickness make it suitable for heavy-duty cutting, batoning, and prying. The scallop-machined flat grind and fuller reduce weight while maintaining strength, and the jimped spine allows for hammering tasks.
Blade
The 5" blade is made from CPM MagnaCut steel, a modern powder metallurgy steel known for its excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The flat grind provides a good balance between slicing performance and strength, while the fuller reduces weight and adds grip options. The blade is heat-treated and double-tempered for optimal performance.
Handle
The handle is made from black G-10, a fiberglass laminate known for its durability and resistance to moisture, heat, and cold. The 3D CNC machining ensures a secure grip, and the chamfered edges enhance comfort during extended use. The hard-edge spine and exposed pommel with jimping provide additional functionality as a hammering surface.
Carry
The knife comes with a custom leather sheath from Grey Leather Co., allowing for both vertical and horizontal carry. The sheath also includes a ferro rod holder and striker, making it a versatile tool for outdoor enthusiasts.
