Griffin Co. is Keith Griffin, designing knives, bit drivers, pens, and beads from his shop in Cambridge, Ontario. The Combat Beads line built its following in the EDC community before a single Griffin knife hit production, and that bead maker's obsession with finish work carries through everything since: you don't just pick a model, you pick a combination of stonewashed or blackwashed titanium, brass, marbled carbon fiber, micarta, and MagnaCut in the exact treatment you want. The full Combat Beads collection operates as its own division of the company.
The Scout runs four frames deep. The Scout F3 and larger Scout F3.5 are the flagship titanium framelocks with milled inlays in micarta, brass, and carbon fiber, the Scout F2 brings the same platform in at a friendlier entry point, and the compact Scout 2.5 and neck-sized Scout Medic fixed blades cover the small end. CPM MagnaCut carries the current catalog nearly wall to wall, with CPM S90V on the slipjoint side, where the 1946 pattern gives a traditional frame a thoroughly modern build. The X Limited fixed blades add swappable scales, and the X-Series Bolster Lock rounds out the locking folders in G-10. Keith designs every piece and runs knife production through Bestech to specs he signs off personally. Our knife steel guide covers both steels in depth.
The MKIII is the flagship of the bit driver lineup, machined in titanium, copper, brass, and zirconium, with the Omega and Phoenix covering different form factors and glow insert options. The Mini Click pen pairs a milled Grade 5 titanium clip with a Tuff Writer click mechanism, and the modular beads with interchangeable inserts remain the most recognizable pieces Griffin makes.
