Gunny Juice makes the polycrystalline diamond emulsions that changed how serious sharpeners finish an edge. Developed by Scott Gunn at US Aces, every grit runs through a proprietary deionization process that leaves each diamond carrying a like charge, so particles repel one another instead of clumping. The payoff is an agglomerate-free compound with tight particle size control and no stray scratches in the final polish.
The lineup runs 12, 9, 6, 3, 1, .5, .25, and .1 micron in 10ml, 15ml, and 30ml pump bottles, taking an edge from fast burr cleanup to a true mirror finish. The water-based formula loads onto cowhide, kangaroo, balsa, or nano cloth, so it slots straight into the leather strops and hones you already run or the blank strops on a guided knife sharpening system. Dedicate one strop per micron level. The compound works into the surface permanently, and a clean grit progression is what keeps the final polish scratch-free.
