Hawk Talon Flipper with Brightwash M390

The Hawk Talon is the manual flipper flagship from Grant and Gavin Hawk, the father and son Idaho shop behind the Deadlock OTF. Deployment runs off a flipper tab, with the patented Hawk Lock paired to a Toggle Detent for the dead-smooth, crisp-breaking action the design is known for.

Blade

The 3.375" blade runs Böhler M390, a third-generation powder metallurgy stainless that holds a working edge through long stretches of daily cutting and shrugs off corrosion in pocket carry. The Brightwash finish is a brighter take on a tumbled stonewash, hiding wear without going dark, and the 0.156" stock puts real spine behind the 3.25" cutting edge. Lock

The Hawk Lock is a fully internal, linear-guided mechanism rather than a liner or frame lock, so nothing about the lockup reveals itself from the outside until you work the knife. The Toggle Detent holds the blade with a clean break, then the bearing pivot carries it home off the flipper tab. It is the same inventive streak that produced the Ti-Lock with Chris Reeve Knives, applied to an everyday folding knife.

Handle

The 4.5" handle is machined titanium wearing a FatCarbon overlay in the Lava Flow pattern, molten reds and oranges streaked through black carbon weave, so no two examples wear exactly the same face. Titanium keeps the frame rigid while the whole knife stays at 4.34 oz.

Carry

A tip-up pocket clip is set up for right-hand carry, and at 7.875" overall the Talon deploys serious blade from a package that still rides like a premium EDC. Made in the USA.
