Hogue OTF Knives
Hogue builds its out the front automatics on a double action mechanism, meaning one ambidextrous trigger both fires and retracts the blade rather than requiring a manual reset. Every one is machined, assembled, and hand sharpened at the company's own plant in Henderson, Nevada. The platform spans full size, micro, and branded variants, all sharing the same trigger geometry and lockup behavior.
Counterstrike OTF Specifications
The Counterstrike is the full size model and the reference point for the line. It runs a 3.35 inch blade at 5 inches closed and 8.35 inches deployed, weighing 2.9 ounces. Standard catalog production uses CPM 20CV cryogenically heat treated to 59 to 61 HRC, with the Collector Series moving to CPM MagnaCut. Blade profiles cover tanto, drop point, and double edge dagger, in stonewash, black PVD, or Cerakote. Deployment force stays consistent shot to shot, and the blade sits without lateral play once locked, which is the specification that actually separates OTFs at this price.
Micro Counterstrike for Compact Carry
The Micro Counterstrike shrinks the platform to a 1.95 inch double edge blade at 2.925 inches closed and 4.875 inches overall, weighing 1.8 ounces. It runs CPM MagnaCut at 62 to 64 HRC, a harder heat treat than the full size model gets, and it is close to the practical floor for a functioning out the front mechanism. Covers include polymer, carbon fiber, and cocobolo laminate depending on the run.
HK and SIG Counterstrike Variants
Hogue produces out the front models under both the HK and SIG Sauer names on the same tooling. The SIG Counterstrike matches firearm finishes across the LEGION and other lines, running the same 3.35 inch 20CV blade in drop point with polymer covers. The HK side brings the Incursion and the Hadron. Steel and dimensions carry over from the base platform, so the choice comes down to cover material, blade profile, and which brand you already carry.
Frames, Glass Breakers, and Carry
Cases are 6061-T6 hard anodized aluminum with interchangeable cover panels in G-10, G-Mascus, carbon fiber, polymer, and cocobolo. A removable carbide glass breaker sits at the pommel with a lanyard loop, and it swaps out for a filler screw if you would rather not carry it. The deep carry clip reverses for left or right, tip down.
