Item: BORDE-01-VIB-JUT-BDX
The Bordertown Bowie is a collaboration between Jack Wolf Knives and designer Jakeb Ginsberg, built as a compact fixed blade for collectors and everyday carry users who want premium materials in a small package.
Blade
The 3.45" bowie blade is hollow ground from Crucible S90V, a powder metallurgy steel loaded with vanadium carbides. S90V holds an edge longer than most steels on the market and resists corrosion well, though it takes more effort to sharpen due to its hardness. The stonewashed finish at 60-61 HRC hides small scratches from daily use while the blade stock runs 0.12" thick.
Handle
The scales are Vibe Bordeaux Jute Micarta, a composite made by resin-impregnating layers of jute fabric under pressure. Micarta is prized for its grip texture and durability, and it only gets better looking with wear. Handle thickness measures 0.36" scale to scale, and the knife weighs a light 2.2oz on its own.
Carry
The Bordertown ships with an ambidextrous black leather sheath featuring magenta stitching and a clip for belt carry. As a fixed blade there is no lock to manage - the tang and handle are a single solid unit, and the leather sheath provides secure retention with quick draw access.
