The Jack Wolf Gunstock from the Gateway Series pairs a classic gunstock pattern with abalone scales, giving collectors and traditional knife fans a dressy slipjoint with genuine shell material. A Federal shield and satin stainless bolsters round out the traditional look.

Blade

The 2.97" blade is flat ground from Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel with a satin finish. 14C28N is a Scandinavian steel known for a good balance of edge retention and corrosion resistance, and it sharpens easily. Blade stock runs 0.10" thick, keeping the knife slim and ideal for everyday slicing tasks.

Handle

The scales are genuine abalone, a natural shell material prized for its iridescent color shift. Integral bolsters and liners are satin finished stainless steel, adding structure and a traditional look. At 2.3oz, the knife carries light in the pocket.

Carry

This is a slipjoint - there's no locking mechanism, and the blade stays open through spring tension alone, in keeping with traditional pocketknife design. Closed length is 3.64", making it an easy, low-profile carry in a pocket or slip.
