The Jack Wolf Knives Stockman is the largest pattern yet in the Gateway Series, the line Jack Wolf Knives built as an entry point into both the brand and traditional slipjoints as a category. Gateway knives deliver the same fit and finish obsession as the flagship lineup at a price that lets you find out what the fuss is about without collector money on the table. This single-blade take on the classic stockman pattern makes the case well:

crisp walk and talk, a solid half stop, and integral satin stainless bolsters put it squarely in traditional territory, while the Watermelon Sugar CamoCarbon scales make it unmistakably modern.

Flat Ground 14C28N Clip Point Blade

The 3.13 inch clip point runs a full flat grind in Sandvik 14C28N, hardened to 58-59 HRC. This Swedish stainless earns its keep in a working slipjoint: fine grain structure takes a screaming edge, corrosion resistance shrugs off pocket sweat and fruit acids, and touch-ups on a strop or fine stone come easy. A satin finish and traditional nail nick complete the picture, with 2.84 inches of cutting edge behind the point. For a deeper dive on how 14C28N stacks up against the rest of the field, see our guide to every major knife steel compared.

Watermelon Sugar CamoCarbon Scales

CamoCarbon layers pink and green swirls over a black and gray base, so no two handles pattern out the same way. The scales sit between integral satin stainless steel bolsters and liners, secured with nickel silver pins and finished with the Bullock shield. At 0.44 inches scale to scale, the Stockman carries slim without giving up a full-sized grip when the work starts.

Gateway Series Slipjoint for Everyday Carry

A single satin-finished backspring delivers a firm seven-out-of-ten pull with a confident half stop, exactly the action traditional collectors judge a slipjoint by. At 3.99 inches closed and 3 ounces, it disappears into a pocket or slip case, ready for breaking down boxes, trimming line, or opening the mail with more style than the task deserves. Whether the Stockman is your first traditional or your first Jack Wolf, the Gateway Series is built to start something.
