In 2011 Hoback Knives collaborated with Chad of Alphahunter Tactical Design on a knife project dubbed the "WarHorse". This profile was a larger design with a full 4? blade and massive slabs of .200 thick titanium! The design was amazingly popular, and we sold out of each run we made within days. Now the group is back together again to collaborate on another run. Jake Hoback pulled out all the stops in a redesign by running a full FEA (finite element analysis) on it to check for any weak spots. Additionally, all non-structural components have been pocketed to get the weight down and a ground-up design has been conducted to create a perfect hardened lock insert, a organic 3D machined semi-floating backspacer, the "Hoback Roller Detent" (HRD), Hoback Cammed Pivot (HCP) and finally a hardened stainless bearing races.
