The Model 86 from Jason Clark Knives is a maker-built folder for collectors who want handmade quality in an everyday carry package. It pairs a blued blade finish with a natural bone micarta handle for a knife that stands apart from factory production runs.

Blade

The 3.5" blade is forged from Nitro-V steel with a blued finish and measures 0.135" thick. Nitro-V is a fine-grained stainless steel that offers strong corrosion resistance along with good edge retention, making it well suited for a working folder that still needs to look sharp. The bluing adds a dark, protective patina layer while giving the blade a distinct visual character.

Handle

The handle is built from bone micarta, a material made by compressing linen or canvas layers with resin under heat and pressure, then finished with bone accents for texture and grip. At 2.96oz, the knife carries light for its size, and the 4.375" handle length provides a full, comfortable grip.

Carry

The linerlock is a simple, one-handed lock mechanism where a spring-tensioned liner sits behind the blade tang, locking it open until pushed aside to close. The pocket clip is set up for right-hand tip-up carry only. A leather slip is also included for a more traditional carry option.
