The Kershaw Bel Air is a USA-made folder designed for tactical users who need a strong piercing blade with smooth manual operation. The reverse tanto shape makes it ideal for controlled penetration tasks, while the DuraLock crossbar ensures secure blade engagement during use.

Blade

The 3" reverse tanto blade uses CPM MagnaCut steel with a gold Cerakote finish. MagnaCut is a modern powder metallurgy steel known for excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness. The reverse tanto grind creates a reinforced secondary point for exceptional piercing ability, though slicing performance is limited by the angular transition between edges. The gold Cerakote finish reduces visible scratches while adding corrosion protection.

Handle

Raw aluminum handles with steel liners provide a lightweight (2.9oz) but durable structure. The aluminum scales have a natural, unanodized finish that may develop a patina over time. The DuraLock crossbar mechanism secures the blade open during use and requires a deliberate handle button press to close.

Carry

The DuraLock mechanism is a crossbar-style lock that secures the blade open until the handle button is pressed. The reversible deep-carry pocket clip supports tip-up carry on either side. At 7.2" open and 4.2" closed, it fits comfortably in a pocket.
