The Kershaw Leek is one of the most popular everyday carry knives ever made, and this version dresses it up with a carbon fiber handle and a Damascus steel blade. It's built for collectors and EDC users who want a lightweight, refined knife that still handles daily cutting tasks.
Blade
The 3" wharncliffe blade is made from Damascus steel with an acid etch finish that brings out the layered pattern unique to each knife. Damascus combines multiple layers of steel for a blade that is both attractive and functional, with the acid etch helping to mask minor use marks. The wharncliffe's straight edge and angled point make it a precise slicer, well suited for detail work and controlled cuts.
Handle
The handle is carbon fiber, a lightweight woven composite material known for its strength-to-weight ratio and distinct textured look. Combined with the slim Leek frame, the knife weighs just 2.3oz, making it easy to forget in the pocket until needed.
Carry
This Leek uses Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted opening system with a flipper to get the blade moving, locked into place by a liner lock. The liner lock is a thin steel liner inside the handle that shifts over behind the blade's base to hold it open; pushing it aside lets the blade swing closed. The pocket clip is set up for right-hand carry only, with tip-up or tip-down positioning depending on preference.
