The Kershaw XCOM 3425 translates World War II trench knife design into a modern folder through a collaboration with custom knifemaker Les George. Inspired by the M3 trench knife, the XCOM features a 3.6-inch symmetrical spear point blade in 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a black oxide finish. The blade employs a bayonet grind and is sharpened on a single edge for safer handling and broader legal compliance. Manual deployment uses an ambidextrous thumb disk, and the blade locks via an inset liner lock. Glass-filled nylon handles provide weather resistance and include deep grooves for grip texture. An integral handguard at the blade junction prevents forward hand slip during use. The exposed steel liner on the spine features jimping for thumb purchase and cutting control. At 4.2 ounces with a 4.4-inch closed length, the XCOM balances substantial feel with everyday carry. The ambidextrous deep-carry pocket clip mounts for tip-up carry and adjusts for left or right hand preference. A large lanyard hole accommodates paracord attachment.
