Kunwu Tao
The Tao is the knife that built Kunwu. Its February 2021 Kickstarter proved Kunwu Knives could deliver custom-grade titanium flippers at production prices, and five years on the design has grown into the deepest family in the Kunwu catalog, spanning full-size workhorses, dedicated sheepsfoot builds, and true pocket minis.
Kunwu Tao Models
The Tao II and Tao III carry the classic formula forward: a 3.5-inch drop point over a sculpted titanium frame lock with a bearing pivot, milled deep carry clip, and handle textures running from diamond and orange peel to full DLC black, with Timascus pivot collars on select builds. The S-Tao II and Tao Sheepsfoot trade the drop point for a straight-edge sheepsfoot profile backed by three ways in: front flipper, flipper tab, and blade hole. The X-Tao swaps the frame lock for the XT Lock, Kunwu's ambidextrous crossbar mechanism, while the Mini Tao and Tao Compact shrink the pattern down to featherweight everyday carry that still runs full titanium construction.
What Steel Do Kunwu Tao Knives Use
